SightCity 2010 – A Continuing Success

Frankfurt, January 2010: From April 28 to 30, 2010, SightCity is one more time setting signs in the Rhein-Main metropolis Frankfurt. This year SightCity is expected to break the record figure of 4,000 visitors who will come to this exhibition for blind and visually impaired people. Admission to this exhibition is free for visitors and accompanying persons. A selected product range presented by international exhibitors, informative lectures and many service offers for visitors will again set quality standards in the field of aids.

For eight years now the international exhibition SightCity stands for innovation and profound information concerning visual impairment. On three days visitors will have the opportunity to test various systems and products, to inform themselves about the latest medical findings, and to get to know a large number of consulting offers. The specialised character of this exhibition gives the visitor the chance to have personal contact with manufacturers, associations, consultants and doctors.

A visit to the exhibition is as easy as worthwhile: The show venue in 2010 is again the Sheraton hotel at Frankfurt airport. The convenient transport connections either by bus, train or airplane and the regular free pick-up service from the platforms of local and long-distance trains by SightCity guides allow a safe arrival.

For visitors who prefer a personal guide, we offer the "Rent-a-Guide" service, which is due to charge and recommended to be booked online under www.sightcity.net in advance. Bookings at SightCity during the exhibition hours can only be made to a limited extent, because it cannot be guaranteed that a guide will be available.

At SightCity not only the visitors, but also their guide dogs will be well taken care of (e.g. bowls with water). The ways through the exhibition rooms are marked on the floor with guiding lines,  and a competent  support will make their visit a full success.
